Mink is a beige with a lot of brown in it. In the tube it looks like there could be a hint of pink in there, but on the skin it’s clearly a straightforward dark beige. The formula and pigmentation of this shade are incredible–glides on like a dream, gives semi-opaque to opaque coverage, and wears comfortably. It’s a bit of a challenge for me to wear, but challenge. freaking. accepted.  Mink makes the perfect nude for girls with darker skin. On lighter skin, this could work for a straight-up Kate Moss from the 90s look OR you could actually mix this with other shades.

Pink In The Afternoon is a warm medium milky pink. I bought this because I thought it would go well with a silver & black smokey eye, and it totally does– but that’s about it. I never really use it otherwise. It is one of the Revlon “cult fave” shades though, and  look great on girls with lighter skin. As it is a creme formula like Mink, the formula is nice and comfortable to wear plus pigmentation is great.

Finally Pink Sizzle is a watermelon pink/red shade with a juicy finish to match it. 

The colour for summer, but sadly this is the most difficult of the bunch to work with. There’s a little too much slip so the formula doesn’t really stay on the lips for very long. The colour doesn’t quite show up when you use a thin layer, and if you try to build it up too much it will be patchy.

                                                Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks

Plum Velour is a “reddish plum-berry with a luminous, lightly glossy, sheen.” (all shade descriptions in quotations are from Temptalia) The coverage is quite sheer but the colour builds to a nice intensity with a juicy shine. This is a very “fall” shade in my opinion and I think I will get a lot of use out of it come the latter half of the year. It wears well for several hours but will not last through a meal. That’s always fine by me as long as the colour comes off evenly, which this one does.

Berry Couture is “a cool-toned, fuchsia-berry with a soft shine.” If Plum Velour is a Fall type of shade, Berry Couture is totally a Spring type of shade.  The fuchsia in Berry Couture comes up strong on my lips and I sort of detest fuchsia on its own, so the slight plum tint saves the shade. This could actually pass as a “radiant orchid” kind of shade, but in a much more wearable finish than the Cover Girl lippie I recently showed you guys. As with Plum Velour, the coverage on this was buildable and it yields a shiny finish.

The product comes without card-box packaging, hence no ingredients are listed. 
Packaging: Pink Summer belongs to the pink family of Maybelline Colorsensational Lip Color range, hence comes with a dark pink translucent cap. No doubt the packaging is very attractive and it was one of the deciding factors for me to take the lipstick. The lipstick bullet is enclosed in a slender silver tube, which itself looks classy. Overall, the packaging is pretty, sturdy and travel friendly.

Color:  Pink Summer is a perfect rose petal pink, with frosty look, luminous silver sheen due to fine shimmer and satiny feel. I was not intending to buy a shimmer shade, but it looks so good on my lips that I have no regrets buying it. The color pigmentation is good. It has decent color pay off, decent opacity and a pretty shade to add in your stash. It will suit all skin tones, I am sure about that.

Creamy matte lipsticks are seems to be trendy at the moment. Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipstick are ground breaking as far as drug store formulas go as they are one of the only drugstore brands offering such a formula at the moment.

Creamy matte lipstick formula is quite similar in texture but the price is a heck of a lot nicer.

Revlon came with its new product in 2015 which became the most fastest and highly liked product among the women. Revlon's new Ultra HD lipstick and lip lacquer lines. These products have the "Gel Technology", which became the code for the name HD.

They have got a gel base rather than wax. The gel base is designed to deliver purer pigments that are truer to what we see in the tube. They also feel softer and bouncier on the lips. The products are known for caring your lips and holding them tightly. Lacquer lasts for 3-4 hours whereas the lipstick lasts about half as long.

Lipsticks are super smooth and you can get a lot of color in single swipe. They are closer to really intensely pigmented balms, than straight up lipsticks. Even the brighter colors have some sheerness to them. Smooth, lightweight, non-sticky formula, brief 2- hour wear time, and a caramel and raspberry flavor and scent. They are all named after flowers.

Have you seen the new L'Oreal lip glosses yet? Love. Serious love. Amazing. I picked up one at CVS the other day, and the display was so pretty I had to really stop myself from buying a few more. Or six. In the end I only bought one (#164, Nude Illusion, pictured above, which is for some reason called Nude Touch on the L'Oreal website), but I think it is a universally flattering shade and if you're in the mood for a new lip gloss, this is the gloss and color to get.

The gloss comes in a tube, though this one is a bit longer and thinner than most lip glosses, giving it a fresh and elegant feel. The gloss isn't sticky, tastes like vanilla and feels like lip balm going on. Seriously, this is not a joke. The formula includes Omega 3s, Vitamin E and Argan Oil, so the gloss is very hydrating. It doesn't last through meals, but it does stick around for my daily cup of coffee.

I think I'll be picking up a red or plum for fall next. This is holy grail worthy gloss.

                  

                           Favourite lipsticks pencils  to create natural nude lipstick

Getting the perfect nude lip is a challenge as it's completely dependent on finding a shade that compliments your skin tone. Creating a great nude lip is about matching the right shade of lipstick like Loreal or Bobbi  Brown(which is neither too colourful and overpowering or too washed out) with the individuals skintone - and the same is true for pencils. Although I often don't bother using a lip pencil when creating a bright or bold lip (unless I'm changing the shape or increasing volume), I like to use one to give subtle definition to a nude lip.  As long as its done well and looks natural it can prevent a light colour from washing you out and give a better finish.

                                              The six Red of L’Oréal are RAD

It’s hard to pick a favourite from among six $8.99 red lipsticks in the new L’Oréal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Red Lip color line but if you ask me to pick one first I would say why are you getting so cruel? Then I had to say 402 Blake’s Red, which you may remember from the 5 Fabulously Affordable Fall Lipstick post earlier this week. It’s neutral, so I could wear it with warm and cool looks.

I don’t think you can really go wrong with any of these shades, though. They’re really, good reds , and all of them are completely opaque. They also feel nice and creamy and have a velvety matte finish that makes lips look plump, luscious and elegant.

With reds like these I picture film heroines saying, “ Kiss me ,you fool!’while slipping martins and shooting sharp looks across dark rooms.

I know hot pink looks a lot like hot berry. If you’re trying to decide between the two, Hot Berry a little bluer to me .I think hot pink has more yellow. Hot berry if you like cool tones and Hot pink If you like warm. Hot Berry, Hot pink and Hot Orange are all new and limited edition shades.
